SuperMemo displayed the following error when trying to import e-mail in bulk:

Answer:
This is a bug in SuperMemo 2004 triggered when you use a non-English version of MS Outlook. You could try to work around it by creating a folder named Inbox and then choosing a new import folder for bulk import with Pick Folder. Installer cannot contact download sites (#452)

I recently ordered a SuperMemo 2004 upgrade and I’ve been getting the message "All download sites are temporarily unavailable" when trying to run the installation

If this problem reoccurs, please contact us for alternative download instructions. Sometimes a proxy server or a firewall or trouble at local ISP can result in the installer being unable to download SuperMemo. Alternative download instruction will give you direct access to the server, which nearly always resolves the problem You can also download a straight ZIP file and install it manually. I downloaded SuperMemo 2004, but it kept crashing on my system. Does it not work with Windows 7 Home Premium? Is this a 64 vs 32 bit issue?
Answer:
You only need to move SuperMemo 2004 away from the Program Files folder where it is placed by default by the old installer. As of Windows Vista, SuperMemo is not allowed to use the files with the extension REG in \Program Files folder. The unfortunate coincidence of the name registry and the use of the extension REG does not come from bad design. SuperMemo used the concept before it showed up in Windows. For security reasons, Windows Vista introduced changes in access permissions for such files. Newer versions of SuperMemo use new naming for registry files. Older versions can still be used in newer Windows, however, they have to be moved away from \Program Files. To be precise, SuperMemo can still reside in \Program Files, if it is Run As Administrator, or if its learning material is moved to other folders (e.g. c:\SuperMemo\collections, etc.).
